Northern Silence

Volcanic highlands at the edge of the Arctic Circle

Iceland's volcanic highlands are a landscape of extremes — black lava fields meeting emerald moss, glacial rivers carving through ancient rock, and light that shifts from golden warmth to cool blue within minutes. This series was shot over three weeks in the summer of 2024, traveling the highland roads of Landmannalaugar and the remote Westfjords.
