I'm a photographer based in the Netherlands, working across nature, astrophotography, travel and sports. My work is driven by a fascination with light, landscape and the quiet moments between action — whether that's the stillness before dawn in a volcanic highland or the split second a wave breaks.

Ik ben een fotograaf uit Nederland en werk op het gebied van natuur, astrofotografie, reizen en sport. Mijn werk komt voort uit een fascinatie voor licht, landschap en de stille momenten tussen actie — of dat nu de stilte voor zonsopgang in een vulkanisch hoogland is, of de fractie van een seconde waarin een golf breekt.

I started photographing during hiking trips through Scandinavia, and the combination of patience, physical challenge and visual reward has defined my approach ever since. Each project begins with research and ends with extended time in the field — there are no shortcuts to photographs that feel true.

Ik begon met fotograferen tijdens wandeltochten door Scandinavië, en de combinatie van geduld, fysieke uitdaging en visuele beloning bepaalt sindsdien mijn manier van werken. Elk project begint met onderzoek en eindigt met veel tijd in het veld — er zijn geen shortcuts naar foto's die echt aanvoelen.
