Old-growth Caledonian pine forest in the Scottish Highlands

The remnants of the Caledonian Forest cling to a handful of Highland glens, where pines several centuries old still stand. This series was made over repeat visits across two years, photographing the forest in fog, frost and the low raking light of early morning.
